Things You Must Know About Domotics
The building automation for residential purpose is an extension which automates the household, home, or housework activity, and is called oemotics, or home automation. Household appliances, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), and lighting’s centralized control are among the things that can be automated. In order to provide more improved energy efficiency, convenience, security, and comfort for the home owner and everyone who lives in the same house, the automation of the items are done. Since home automation can reduce the need for institutional care or caregivers, home automation can especially be benefitted by the disabled and elderly folks.
Home automation can be done by yourself, but there are four things that you must know before you do it on your own. The first thing is that you’ll need to take a good look around and familiarize yourself with the surroundings of your home. Browse through carefully, and figure out what things that needs to be automated. Is it the home theatre or the light? Or is it the stereo system? You can save in the long run as you won’t be spending too much money automating unnecessary things if you know what things that really needs to be automated.
Next, find out what kind of control method that you want to use. The ‘control’ system allows you to trigger the whole objects that have been automated. There’re seven types of triggers; manual, absolute time, sunrise/ sunset, changes that occur in the home, voice recognition, phone, and conditional. Finally, among the common control technologies include power line, hard-wired, serial, wireless, infrared, and Ethernet are the control technologies you must know.

i need a power rack for bench press and squats. i also need it to be 72 inches to 75 inches because my cieling in my basement is only 82 inches and i need clearence to do chin/pull ups.
i wanted to purchase the one below but it is exactly 82 inches.

Qualcomm's sounding off about powerline networking for 2012 (Engadget)
Qualcomm's taking to the stage at CES to unveil a new chip designed to make
power-line communications less of a last-resort for people in lead-lined
houses. The Qualcomm Atheros QCA6410 is a single chip designed to make
powerline gear much smaller and cheaper than current models. It's also taking
the moment to throw weight behind the IEEE 1905.1 hybrid networking standard,
which'll be supported in the Hy-Fi portfolio of networking CPUs that
coordinates WiFi, Powerline, Ethernet and Multimedia over Coax connections to
make sure you can tweet about your new t-shirt in every square inch of your
