Although exercising is coveted by many, few get the oppurtunity to actually do it. There are 3 ways for busy individuals to take their normal routine and simplify it so you’ll have more time throughout your day. Commitment to consistent workouts is the hardest part.
Three sets per exercise is the most basic way to simplify your workouts. Doing one set of each exercise in your workout receives a lot of good press, and for absolute beginners seems to be as good as doing multiple sets. But most people need three sets to get all of the benefits of an exercise. That’s because your body has three types of muscle fibers, and it’s hard to work them all in just one set. One exception: Do four to six sets when you’re doing low repetitions for strength.
The second way to simplify your workout is to use the following stretch. This stretches your hamstrings, lower back, chest, shoulders, and biceps in on movement. Straighten your arms to both sides while lying on your back. Cross your left leg over your torso and try to touch your left foot to your right hand while keeping both shoulder blades on the floor. Maintain a slight bend in your left knee. Hold for 10 seconds, then switch sides. Do one to two sets on both sides. This stretch is a favorite among students who do Fitness Bootcamp Maryland.
The third way to simplify your workout is to do one exercise per muscle group. Unless you’re a bodybuilder, there’s no need to hit a muscle from every conceivable angle each time you train it. Work hard on one or two exercises per muscle group, and you’ll build plenty of muscle and have more time to show it off.
