What can I do to get my baby to stop hitting, biting and, kicking me?
My daughter Nevaeh will be one on January eleventh. She's had a bit of a temper problem since she was about 6 months old. She doesn't really like to play with me, and when she gets angry she hits, bites, scratches, kicks, punches, and smacks me, and she can't stand the word no. I'm not sure what I should do about it.
Use a different word/phrase, "Not a good plan" or "We don't do that" or just move her without saying anything.
You can't let her attack you. You could cover her head loosely so she can't bite, wrap her body loosely and hold on to her until she calms down. Whales hold their calves tightly when they misbehave. Alternatively, you can take her to her crib and leave her there until she calms down.
