If you work as a fireman you make sure your wearing the right type of boots to protect your feet. Being in the medical industry its no different so you should always make sure your wearing the correct type of nursing shoes. Looking for nurses shoes isnt as easy of a task as it may seem which can get expensive and painful if you keep buying the wrong shoes.
Here are 5 things you may decide to think about when researching a pair of nurses shoes:
- Will provide 10-12 hours of comfort keeping you energized and busy at work
- Are they easy to clean, take care of and not taking up to much of your time
- Durable and nice looking

Quality made shoes will actually last 2 to 3 times longer than the cheaper nursing shoes.
Should I get ankle supports for volleyball?
Im a freshman and I play volleyball. I've never really had any ankle problems like rolling my ankle or spraining it etc. This year at vball camp my friend rolled her ankle and it got me thinking about ankle supports. A lot of people dont get them unless they have ankle problems. I dont want to wait untill I have ankle problems to get ankle supports. So Should I get ankle supports? Do I need them? Do they prevent injuries? Will they weaken my ankles? Thanks
As a volleyball player with experience playing on a very high calibre senior high school team and little varsity experience, I've noticed the players that are most active in the sport and play for more than just their school team have ankle supports.
Also, their qualities showed passion for the sport. They were provincial and club players. So they were very good players. If you take the sport seriously and give more than 100%, if you have the money and know where to buy them, I say go for it.
I was a setter and just watched all the other players who played longer on the team with one of the best coaches in the province have them. I never bought them. I didn't think I needed it. But I feel the quality players don't mind putting in money for what they enjoy doing. It may even make you a better player by thinking that you have the proper equipment and feel like a better volleyball player with confidence just because you have what I've recognized the pro's have.
Players who play volleyball for the love and enjoyment of it really don't need them. But you would have to find other ways to protect your ankles like athletic tape that was previously mentioned in another answer.
Game ban for Steelers LB (St. Petersburg Times)
**Times wires**
Tuesday, December 13, 2011
PITTSBURGH -- Steelers linebacker James Harrison has carved out a niche as one
of the NFL's most feared defenders by straddling the line between clean and
dirty play. On Tuesday the league did more than fine him for it.
The NFL suspended Harrison for a game for his helmet-to-facemask hit Thursday
on Browns quarterback Colt McCoy. Harrison is the first player to miss game
time under the league's revamped policy on such collisions. His agent, Bill
Parise, said Tuesday that Harrison has filed an appeal and expects it to be
heard this week.
NFL executive vice president Ray Anderson said the violation was Harrison's
fifth illegal hit on a quarterback in three seasons. The four-time Pro Bowl
pick has been fined two other times.
Harrison, who has criticized the NFL's crackdown on vicious hits, thanked fans
for their support on Twitter, adding, "I'm just going to move on from here and
get ready for my next game."
The Steelers face the 49ers on Monday night in San Francisco.
Also, medical representatives from the league and union met with the Browns'
medical staff to discus the response and treatment of McCoy. Browns linebacker
